Pharmacist - Primary Care Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our Primary Care Medicines Management team as a Prescribing Adviser. The successful candidate will work closely with GP practices and Neighbourhood Networks across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board to ensure safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective prescribing practices.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance to GP practices on prescribing practices, including monitoring and advising on prescribing expenditure and reducing costs where possible.
- Work closely with the Primary Care Medicines Management team to implement the ABUHB Medicines Management Strategy and work programme.
- Collaborate with GPs, practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote best practice in prescribing and medicines management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to prescribing and medicines management.

Requirements- Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of prescribing and medicines management policies and procedures
