About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our Primary Care team at HMP Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist who thrives on working within a fast-paced environment and collaborating with clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an integrated, safe, legal, and high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
  • Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of service meets contractual obligations.
  • Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensure a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
  • Lead a team of support staff and work closely with clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners to ensure effective delivery of pharmacy services.

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Pharmacist with a BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Real passion for developing pharmaceutical skills and those of your team.
  • Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable.
