Pharmacist - Primary Care Team

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our Primary Care team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B male training prison. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist who thrives on working within a fast-paced environment and collaborating with clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide an integrated, safe, legal, and high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
- Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of service meets contractual obligations.
- Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensure a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
- Lead a team of support staff and work closely with clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners to ensure effective delivery of pharmacy services.
- Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course.

You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist with a BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your pharmaceutical skills and those of your team.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
