Deputy Care Home Manager Job Opportunity

A dynamic and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager is required to lead a care home in the Newtown, Wales area. The successful candidate will be working for a leading healthcare provider, delivering high-quality care to individuals with varying needs.

This care home offers a range of care plans in a warm and safe environment, tailored to the needs of each individual. The care home provides dementia, convalescence, and palliative care, ensuring a high level of support and comfort for residents.

To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or above. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programs.

The key responsibilities of the Deputy Care Home Manager include:

  • Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver exceptional person-centered care, utilizing clinical governance and personal development.
  • Recognizing areas of concern, including sickness management, staff training, and development, and coaching and mentoring.
  • Communicating effectively with service users, their families, and colleagues, requiring excellent interpersonal and working relationship skills.
  • Understanding the disabilities, health, and social care needs of service users and assisting those with mobility or continence needs, utilizing appropriate aids and equipment.
  • Providing appropriate levels of care and support to ensure personal hygiene needs are met.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a similar setting.
  • Experience supporting the elderly.
  • A strong knowledge of person-centered care.
  • Good working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Act 2008.
  • Essential to be Health and Safety aware, ensuring the safety of service users and colleagues.

The successful Deputy Care Home Manager will receive a competitive salary of £16.64 per hour and an annual salary of £31,150.08. This exciting opportunity is a permanent full-time role, working 36 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive:
