Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Cornerstone. As a key member of our Aberdeen city relief pool, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with disabilities and additional support needs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a flexible basis, choosing their own shifts to suit their availability. This means you can enjoy a better work-life balance while making a positive impact in the lives of others.

The role involves supporting individuals with all aspects of their daily living, including personal care, mobility, and participation in various activities such as arts & crafts, gardening, and swimming.

To be considered for this position, you should possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and confidence in using computers. You will also be required to commit to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support of our Training Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities and additional support needs
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and mobility
  • Encourage participation in activities that promote independence and well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of individual's progress and preferences

Requirements:

  • SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare (or willingness to work towards)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Caring and compassionate attitude
  • Confidence in using computers
