Job Title: Head of HR - Retail

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of HR to lead our retail team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our HR strategy, aligning it with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer to develop and execute the HR strategic plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee HR implications for major transformational programs, ensuring effective change management and minimal disruption to the business.
  • Conduct external benchmarking to continuously enhance HR business partnering, identifying best practices and areas for improvement.
  • Foster collaboration and standardisation across HR Business Partner activities, streamlining processes and optimising efficiencies.
  • Mitigate legal, commercial, and brand risks through effective HR management practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Innovate and implement processes to support a high-performance culture and sustainable business growth, driving employee engagement and retention.
  • Provide expert advice on recruitment, employee relations, and performance management, ensuring effective talent management and succession planning.
  • Coach and develop the HR team to enhance their skills and capabilities, ensuring they are equipped to support the business.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in influencing change and driving strategic HR initiatives, with a strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional business acumen, with the ability to identify key issues and risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities, with the ability to manage priorities and lead a team of HR professionals.
  • Extensive experience as a Head of HR leading a HR team in large organisations, with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR projects and drive change initiatives, with strong problem-solving skills and project management expertise.
