The Patient Care Culinary Specialist plays a crucial role in providing excellent nutrition and hospitality services to patients, staff, and visitors at St Oswald's Hospice Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a key member of the Catering Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals and refreshments that meet the needs of our diverse population.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary management, with a focus on patient care and nutrition. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7-day rota between 7:30am and 6:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare menus that cater to the dietary needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
• Collaborate with the Catering Team to achieve goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals to understand patient needs.

Person Specification:

• Strong background in culinary management.
• Focus on patient care and nutrition.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. You must have existing right to work in the UK for this role.

Estimated salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum based on location and experience.
