About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Horizon Care & Education. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and care leavers to live independently.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide practical and emotional support to our service users, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to service users, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and goals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Help service users to access education, employment, and training opportunities.
  • Support service users to develop their life skills, including budgeting, time management, and goal setting.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support.
