Job Summary

Astute People's Renewables team is partnering with a leading provider of renewable energy from food waste to recruit a Compliance Officer to support Risk Management and site compliance across 3 state-of-the-art facilities.

The Compliance Officer role will play a vital part in ensuring sites are compliant with Health & Safety and environmental regulations, implementing best practice and driving continuous improvement. The role offers a competitive salary, depending on experience, and benefits including private health care and car allowance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and review key documentation, including COSHH, Risk Assessments, SOP's and Toolbox talks.
  2. Set and track KPI's, providing regular reports, including analysis of incidents, near misses, root cause identification, and preventative measures.
  3. Contribute to the implementation of ISO 45001, leading assigned tasks within this project.
  4. Provide PAS110 and Environmental support for internal/external audits and ensure document control procedures are maintained.
  5. Conduct regular audits of site processes and procedures to ensure consistent adherence across the business.
  6. Deliver in-house training on relevant procedures, risk assessments, and associated topics.
  7. Research, procure, and implement appropriate software systems for health and safety management.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience working in anaerobic digestion or a similar processing environment such as energy from waste, water treatment or a heavy processing plant.
  2. Qualification in IOSH and NEBOSH.
Personal Skills
  1. Knowledgeable and experienced working with ISO 9001, PAS110 and ADQP.
  2. Must hold a valid clean, UK driving license with the ability and flexibility to travel across sites.
Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary (depending on experience). 40 hours, Monday to Friday. Car allowance. Private health care. 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
