Clinical Psychiatric Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated clinician to join our team of Psychiatrists in NHS Highland. The successful candidate will have a passion for General Adult Community Psychiatry and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
The post offers a unique opportunity to work in a modern service for General Adult Psychiatry, providing medical assessment, care, and treatment to individuals with moderate to severe mental disorders. The post holder will be supervised by and work alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
The service has accelerated its use of digital technology, offering flexibility and opportunities for innovation. The post is based at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness, with some travel expected and reimbursed.
The ideal candidate will have previous clinical psychiatry experience and a strong enthusiasm for General Adult Community Psychiatry. They will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical assessment, care, and treatment to individuals with moderate to severe mental disorders
- Work collaboratively with a Consultant Psychiatrist and other healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account individual patient needs and circumstances
- Contribute to the development of the service, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
Requirements:
- Previous clinical psychiatry experience
- Strong enthusiasm for General Adult Community Psychiatry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
