Specialty Doctor Position in General Adult Psychiatry

Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week

We are seeking a highly motivated clinician with a passion for General Adult Psychiatry to join our team. This post is an exciting opportunity to work within a redesigned service that offers a supportive and collaborative environment. Our team delivers an excellent standard of care in hospital and community settings, and we welcome the post holder to join us in our mission to provide high-quality patient care.

The post holder will work under the supervision of two experienced in-patient consultants, covering the north Highland area. They will assist in the management of in-patients from North Highland and take a lead in the patient journey through hospital and back into the community. The post holder will be expected to have Section 22 status under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 or have sufficient clinical experience to complete this prior to commencement of the post.

As part of NHS National Services Scotland, we are committed to reducing our full-time working week from 37 hours. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
