The Role

Cundall is seeking an experienced Office Support Specialist to join our team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive office support, including reception cover, post control, and document production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, with experience in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills. They will be highly organized, proactive, and able to work to tight deadlines.

The role includes:

  • Reception cover, including answering incoming calls and greeting visitors
  • Control of incoming and outgoing post
  • Production and formatting of documents to conform to Cundall standards
  • Arranging meeting rooms for meetings, seminars, and interviews
  • Assisting with the setup for hosted events in the office
  • Arranging courier services for outgoing parcels and packages
  • Monitoring of stationery stock levels, keeping print rooms, PPE, and stationery cupboards organized and tidy
  • Assistance in coordinating staff training sessions

The successful candidate will also ensure that the office and kitchen areas are well maintained and run general errands as required.

The ideal candidate will establish productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide comprehensive back-office support to the leadership team in Newcastle.

The Skills

Some practical office administration experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to work to tight deadlines, making use of initiative and effective communication skills.

They will possess a professional and courteous telephone manner and be a confident communicator both over the phone and in person, while being able to prioritize their workload effectively.

They will also have excellent written and verbal English language skills and be highly presentable.
