Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Plymouth-based Primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of young learners in an EYFS Level 3 setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as needed, helping to create a tailored learning experience.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities, ensuring a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, maintaining a safe and respectful learning space.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting a nursery and/or primary school setting, with a strong understanding of EYFS principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues, promoting a team-based approach to education.
  • Passion for supporting the learning and development of young learners, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
