Job Title:

Academic Program Coordinator

Salary Range:

£80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

The Academic Program Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and leading the delivery of a transformational digital programme in financial services within Allen Lane. This programme aims to create modern finance services by supporting and developing intuitive systems, leveraging data, standardising and streamlining processes, and enabling better financial management, insights and decision-making across the business.

This is a complex programme requiring significant engagement and management of Government stakeholders at all levels across the business. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing and delivering cloud-based financial management solutions within large or complex organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establishing and leading the delivery of a transformational digital programme including the outcomes, timescales, costs, and team.
  2. Taking direction from the Programme SRO, with responsibility (on their behalf) for delivery and management of the programme, ensuring they are provided the information and support they need to make good and timely decisions.
  3. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager and Director of Planning & Delivery, providing assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of the programme.
  4. Working with senior stakeholders to secure support, leadership, and resources, to ensure delivery of benefits and develop a robust benefit realisation plan with clear ownership.
  5. Ensuring that a clear and robust change management strategy and plan are in place and deeply embedded within delivery plans.
  6. Leading, motivating and developing a large diverse team, including defining the size and structure of the team and ensuring resources are organised appropriately and effectively.

Requirements:

  1. A successful track record of managing and delivering cloud-based financial management solutions within large or complex organisations.
  2. Experience of successfully leading and delivering significant or complex transformation programmes through their lifecycle.
  3. Good understanding of modern, agile project, programme and portfolio methodologies and experience in their use.
  4. Good understanding and experience of public sector procurement and working with third-party suppliers.
  5. The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, remain adaptable and be comfortable working in areas of significant ambiguity.
