We are seeking a highly skilled Product Designer to join our team at Travelex. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for enhancing the usability of our digital touchpoints, while aligning with defined business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive discovery, definition, and design processes to create production-ready designs for web, mobile app, and other Travelex interfaces.
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure that designs implemented in the live environment mirror your handoff work.
- Utilize and evolve the Travelex design system, ensuring UI components and patterns are consistent and meet best practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to conduct UX research, analyze outputs, and translate findings into design recommendations.
- Produce production-ready design assets for web, mobile app, and other digital devices across the Travelex product suite.
- Create intuitive user interfaces and experiences for customers, staff, and other users of Travelex digital products.
- Plan, design, organize, conduct, and report on user research activities.
- Develop and maintain the Travelex design system.
- Work to eradicate design debt and achieve consistency in all Travelex digital interfaces and sites.
- Create components, patterns, and solutions that consider different contextual use cases, ensuring Travelex digital products are accessible, intuitive, and painless.
- Demonstrate the application of UX research findings, design principles, and usability heuristics.
- Work with Product and front-end engineering to ensure the best possible outcome from a visual and interaction design perspective.
- Present and justify design decisions to the Product team and other senior stakeholders.
- Process-driven, with a meticulous approach to digital asset creation, file management, and project documentation.
- Experience applying brand styles to digital products and services.
- An understanding of usability, interaction design, and research theories and principles.
- Experience of developing sketches, wireframes, and other design artefacts for digital design projects.
- Practical knowledge of UX role in agile Scrum methodology ways of working.
- Interprets and applies data, UX research, and insights to inform design decisions.
- A passion to evolve their knowledge and skills in the field of UX and UI design.
- Bachelor's degree in UXD or a relative qualification and/or experience.
- Extensive experience building and managing design systems in Figma with a particular focus on the use of variables and modes.
- Working knowledge of MV testing and personalisation platforms.
- Microsoft Office 365, Miro, Trello, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience designing web & native solutions, backed by a portfolio of example projects.
