Kitchen Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to join our team at Away Resorts Ltd, a dynamic and growing company that offers exciting opportunities for chefs who love to innovate and lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Back of House (BOH) operation, ensuring guests receive an exceptional level of service and delicious meals, freshly cooked.
  • Lead key shifts and take control of the day-to-day BOH operation, ensuring dishes comply to agreed specifications and the team are suitably deployed.
  • Support the F&B Manager in recruiting, managing and inspiring the kitchen team.
  • Control food margins through effective stock management.
  • Champion and implement Health and Safety and Hygiene policies to ensure team and guest safety.
  • Consult with, and learn from, the Group executive Chef to create your own seasonal, local specials where you source suppliers and products and put your mark on the menu.

About You:

  • You will have at least Level Two Hygiene Certificate, ideally Level 3.
  • You will have experience of leading a team as a head chef in a fast-paced and busy F&B kitchen environment.
  • You will be well-versed in managing and delivering financial KPIs within budget requirements.
  • You will have a real passion for food, and a customer service ethos.
