Support Young People to Develop Essential Life Skills

We are recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with post-16 students who have educational health and care plans (EHCPs). This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference by helping young people achieve greater independence and build brighter futures.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students in diverse community settings, including learning hubs, libraries, workplaces, and leisure facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Practical Life Skills: Supporting students to develop practical life skills tailored to their individual needs
  • Delivering Accredited Learning: Delivering accredited learning based on a personalised curriculum
  • Assessing Student Progress: Assessing student progress and celebrating their achievements
  • Community-Based Learning: Travelling alongside students to various community-based locations, ensuring their learning takes place in meaningful, real-world environments

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people and supporting their development. Previous experience working with young people in the UK is essential, and experience working with special educational needs would be advantageous. You will need to be flexible to travel between community locations and have strong communication and organisational skills.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 9am - 4:30pm, term time only. The salary for this role is £45,000 per year, plus benefits.
