A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Project Engineer to join our Engineering Project team at Micronclean, a fast-growing company committed to investing in people and training. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the development of a world-first operationally carbon zero cleanroom laundry.


Job Details
  • Location: Skegness, Lincolnshire
  • Job Type: Full Time, permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
  • Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team responsible for developing and building a £15M greenfield project, a multi-phase campus site development to be delivered over the next 10 to 15 years. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative engineering solutions at the forefront of the laundry industry, managing virtual teams, and coordinating and motivating groups to deliver project outcomes.

  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, ensuring that projects are delivered safely and meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with key business functions to deliver projects that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Occasional national and international travel to visit suppliers, contractors, and exhibitions.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to technological innovation.
  • Experience of multi-million pound construction projects.
  • Project management qualifications or experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to read, amend, and create architectural drawings and piping / instrumentation diagrams.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
