We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our team and lead the engineering solutions and innovation for a major industrial construction project.

About the Role:
  • Manage the build and delivery of an operationally carbon zero cleanroom laundry – a world first – due to be operational in 2027.
  • Lead on the engineering solutions and innovation for a major industrial construction project.
  • Develop engineering solutions at the forefront of innovation in the laundry industry.
  • Manage virtual teams, coordinating and motivating these groups to deliver project outcomes.
  • Identify and manage the project critical path, including managing risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to key project management practices, including time/resource planning, cost planning, creation and management of specifications and other key records, project review, reporting and communication.
  • Select contractors and suppliers and manage them as partners.
Requirements:
  • A track record of leading on major capital projects including industrial construction projects (multi-million pound scale).
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to technological innovation.
  • Broad engineering knowledge and will bring ingenuity to solving the technological challenges of the project.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience of cleanrooms or the life sciences industries is desirable.
  • Project management qualifications or experience - will contribute to ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and on budget.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to read, amend and create architectural drawings and piping/instrumentation diagrams.
