Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Specialist Rehabilitation Team as a Medical Secretary. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-quality secretarial service to support the clinical teams, including Consultants, junior medical staff, specialist nursing staff, and Allied Health Professionals.
Key Responsibilities
The Medical Secretary will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to the clinical teams, including typing medical correspondence and reports;
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medical correspondence and reports;
- Communicating effectively with a wide range of people, including Consultants, GPs, Allied Health Professionals, patients, carers, and colleagues;
- Providing a high level of customer care and service to patients, carers, and colleagues;
- Working as part of a team to provide a comprehensive and high-quality secretarial service.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and its use within clinical correspondence.
Working Arrangements
This is a part-time role, with hours to be agreed. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a small team and will be expected to provide a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
