Social Worker in Young Adults Team

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our Young Adults Team. This role involves working closely with young people aged 18-25 years who have a diagnosed learning disability and an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan. Our team focuses on promoting personalisation, encouraging independence, choice, and opportunities for young people to develop their skills for adulthood.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other professionals to support the needs of our clients. They must be able to travel independently within the county and occasionally out-of-county. A strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act is essential, as well as experience in managing safeguarding and complex casework. Line management and court experience would be advantageous but not required.
We offer a comprehensive wellbeing package, 6 days of protected time for continuous professional development, and a relocation package of up to £8,000. The salary for this role is £43,041 - £51,066 per annum, depending on experience.
