Senior Payroll Role

Gleeson Recruitment Group is a leading recruitment agency seeking a highly experienced Payroll & Pension Executive to lead our payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about payroll and has a proven track record in managing complex payroll operations.

Main Accountabilities

  • Lead the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Directly supervise the payroll team and provide guidance on payroll best practices.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Design and deliver training programs for the payroll team.
  • Coordinate annual salary and bonus reviews, analyzing data to inform decision-making.
  • Administer employee benefits, including pensions, life assurance, and private medical insurance.
  • Prepare and submit annual P11D forms, PSA submissions, and gender pay gap reports.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic payroll initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in a senior payroll role, preferably in a recruitment agency environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in payroll systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other payroll software tools.

Benefits Package

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus additional benefits including a company car scheme, flexible working hours, and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
