Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Training Programme Director for Core Psychiatry North & East Yorkshire. This is a key position within NHS England, responsible for ensuring high standards of education and training for psychiatry trainees in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programmes to support the achievement of curriculum competencies in psychiatry.
  • Work closely with the Head of School and other stakeholders to ensure effective educational outcomes and learner supervision.
  • Engage with faculty and other professionals to develop innovative ways of curriculum delivery and workforce well-being strategies.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and national stakeholders to develop an effective network of communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with national vision, policies, and processes for effective educational quality management.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of educational quality management and curriculum development.
  • Experience in a similar role or relevant field.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person. Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
