We are seeking a skilled and dedicated registered nurse to join our team in Skegness and Mablethorpe Community Nursing Teams. As a community staff nurse, you will be responsible for delivering care to patients in their own homes and care homes, working autonomously and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assessment, care planning, and care delivery, as well as delegation and supervision of others. You will also have the ability to apply research and evidence-based care, and experience in teaching and disseminating knowledge and skills.

We offer a comprehensive induction programme, which includes teaching sessions in key areas of practice, such as holistic assessment and care planning, palliative care awareness, wound care, and medication administration. You will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor to develop your skills and knowledge.

Main Responsibilities

As a community nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing care needs and planning and delivering care to patients in their own homes and care homes
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver care
  • Delegating and supervising others
  • Applying research and evidence-based care
  • Teaching and disseminating knowledge and skills
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current 1st level UK NMC adult nurse registration
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Demonstration of mentorship, supervisor, or assessor qualification and its use in practice
  • Evidence of completed leadership modules/qualification
  • Evidence of V100 or V150 Community Practitioner prescribing course undertaken
Working Arrangements

We work through the hours of 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, 7 days a week, and offer flexible working patterns. You will be required to travel to patients' homes and clinic settings, and having access to transport is essential.

We offer a robust preceptorship and clinical skills programme, with an experienced clinical education team providing peer support and training to help you develop your skills and knowledge.
