Commissioning and Performance Manager

Lambeth Borough is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning and Performance Manager to join our Environmental Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies for the delivery and continuous improvement of services in line with good practice, Council policies, and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of commissioning specialists in developing, establishing, and maintaining strategies for service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage policies, strategies, and implementation plans, including the Council's Waste Management Strategy and Reduction and Recycling Plans.
  • Provide detailed knowledge of strategic challenges facing local government and key national issues and programs relevant to environmental services and waste management.
  • Experience of commissioning and procuring complex projects or services in a public sector setting, developing policies and procedures relating to environmental services and waste management.
  • Experience of using management information, needs assessment for commissioning performance management, and monitoring and review reporting.
  • Financial management, including managing budgets effectively, and service development, options appraisal, and system change using demonstrable program management skills.
