Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Senior Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to work in the Cardiff City Centre area. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to women and children affected by domestic abuse.

  • Salary: £29,500 per annum
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Contract: Permanent
About the Role:

This role involves working flexibly, Monday to Friday, 09:00-19:00, with an on-call service requirement. You will be responsible for holding complex and diverse caseloads, providing specialist advice and guidance to external agencies, and participating in case reviews to ensure best practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Predominantly work in the adult team but collaborate with all support services as needed
  • Complete file audits to ensure best practices and high-quality work
  • Participate in case reviews with staff to provide coaching, encourage reflective practice, and offer feedback to the team manager
  • Hold complex and diverse caseloads
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to external agencies in line with company policy and relevant legislation
Requirements:
  • SafeLives IDVA training certificate or equivalent experience/degree/vocational qualification
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
  • Understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including impact on victims and their children
  • Ability to prioritize cases and provide proactive crisis intervention
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
