Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Exams Delivery and Support Specialist to join our team in Jordan. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of exams and technical support services in the country.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Product Service Support
    • Provide technical assistance before and during exam delivery, including troubleshooting devices used in exams.
    • Support venue staff technicians in delivering exams-related technical knowledge and assist operations teams (and IT service vendors) in recruiting qualified venue staff technicians.
    • Liaise with software/application suppliers to report technical issues and provide solutions to operations teams, as well as offer support to venue staff technicians and IT service vendors when raising technical issues to suppliers.
    • Maintain lifecycle management of devices used in exams delivery, ensuring equipment and connectivity at test venues comply with technical requirements.
    • Occasional travel for work according to business needs.
  • Vendor Support and Monitoring
    • Deliver CBT technical training and product updates to local IT service vendors, which may require occasional travel to remote cities based on business needs.
    • Monitor performance of IT service vendors closely, providing feedback to improve their performance and addressing any potential contract breaches in a timely manner.
  • Relationship & Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for local IT service vendors and collaborate with operations teams, vendors, and venue technicians to deliver exams efficiently.
    • Manage escalated issues from Venue Supervisors and Venues, supported by Operations Manager/Cluster Team/Regional Team when required.
    • Collaborate with Global Information Services and local IT colleagues to implement system changes and maintain regional incident logs up-to-date on Microsoft Teams in near real-time.
    • Assist schools and agents in entering registrations as needed.
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Work with the operations team to ensure digital systems and CBT systems meet Quality and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and exams delivery guidelines.
    • Provide support related to compliance or investigations regarding Test Day and related matters.
    • Follow corporate risk management processes and procedures when delivering services, protecting the interests of the British Council and its customers at all times.
    Requirements
    • Experience working in B2B/B2C customer service environments.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service standards.
    • Excellent computer skills, solid understanding of hardware and software.
    • Understanding and experience with risk and compliance management.
    Desirable Requirements
    • Experience supporting exam delivery for computer-based exams.
    • Troubleshooting expertise with hardware, software, and network devices.
    Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $40,000 and $60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits commensurate with the role.
