Hourly Rate: £19.64 PAYE or Approx £23 p/h Umbrella

Job Summary:

Adecco is seeking a skilled Museum Operations Manager to join our client's team on a temporary basis. As a Museum Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the museum's operations, including its buildings, infrastructure, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Manage and maintain health and safety policies to ensure the security and safety of staff, visitors, and guests.
  • Maintenance and Service: Oversee the specialized maintenance and service works required for the museum's fabric, infrastructure, and condition.
  • Collection Management: Collaborate with the curatorial team to meet the standards of collection management.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments within the museum, including buildings, equipment, and events.
  • Operations Team Management: Manage the Operations Team, including overseeing rota management to meet operational needs.
  • Key Holder: Act as a key holder for the venue, being available at short notice for any security or building-related issues.
  • Retail Management: Work with existing staff on retail management to ensure an appealing offer to the audience.

Requirements:

  • Visitor Experience: Proven experience delivering a first-class visitor experience.
  • Health and Safety Policies: Familiarity with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Building Maintenance: Good understanding of building maintenance legislation requirements, such as legionella, COSSH, etc.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Packages, Office 365, Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Education: Completion of secondary school education or equivalent.
  • Training: First aid and fire marshal training and experience are preferred.
