About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist/Highly Specialized Echocardiographer/Cardiac Scientist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy Echocardiography Department, based at Mile End Hospital, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work autonomously as a senior staff member within the non-invasive Cardiac Diagnostics department, assisting senior staff with managerial tasks.
  • Supervise, train, guide, and support staff in the performance of their roles.
  • Provide support to senior staff members.
  • Rotate between Mile End Hospital and one other hospital site within the Trust network.
  • Join the weekend rotation for inpatient cover.

Person Specification
  • BSc Clinical Physiology (or international equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography.
  • Well-versed in basic diagnostic skills expected of a Band 6 cardiac physiologist or higher.
  • Experience on Hands-on Transthoracic echo.
