Join Our Team as a Finance Business Partner/Group Accountant

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner/Group Accountant to join our team at Gateshead Council. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial advice and support to our services and directorates.

About the Role

As a Finance Business Partner/Group Accountant, you will be responsible for providing professional advice and relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to support the strategic planning process and operational management for services and the Council. You will work closely with our Strategic Directors, Service Directors, and other services to ensure they have the key financial information they need to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to services and directorates
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and implement financial improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £48,474 - £51,515 per annum, plus a 15% Recruitment and Retention Allowance. You will also receive an excellent employer contribution to your pension, annual leave entitlement, and the opportunity to participate in our Flexi time scheme.
