Senior Electromagnetic Interference Expert Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Expert to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As an EMI Expert, you will be responsible for providing specialist support to the Engineering Manager and/or external specialists in defining electromagnetic requirements and undertaking specialist testing of systems, sub systems and components in support of achieving contractual compliance for EMC design.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in design for EMC compliance, with experience of specifying and managing requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platforms or programmes. You will also have the ability to advise design teams on Electromagnetic Environment (EME) requirements and design considerations, as well as liaise with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.

In this role, you will be designing and implementing system mitigation to meet EMC standards, mentoring and coaching Engineers within the team, and working closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure that all engineering delivery teams have access to transversal support in defining electromagnetic requirements.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum. Benefits include a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
