Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Norfolk. As a SEN Teaching Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a warm and supportive relationship with pupils to promote their emotional and social well-being.
- Contribute to providing high-quality educational activities and experiences that cater to the individual needs of students.
- Support the Class Teacher in managing the day-to-day running of the class and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
- Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
- Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of working with students with SEMH, ASD.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
