Job Title: Accident and Emergency Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accident and Emergency Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have expertise in anaesthesia and a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for providing anaesthetic services for elective and emergency care, including preoperative assessment and postoperative care. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of our services, including the implementation of new procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic services for elective and emergency care
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including the implementation of new procedures and protocols
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the anaesthetic department to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and service development
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration
  • MB;BS or Equivalent
  • Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date
  • Management training on an accredited course
  • Awareness of Service Development issues
