GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a secondary school setting in a supportive environment.
About the Role:As a HLTA for Secondary SEN, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of students with special needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to deliver tailored support, helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to students with SEN, utilizing your expertise to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and the SENCO to develop and implement effective support strategies, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting support as necessary to meet individual needs.
- Contribute to the development of an inclusive learning environment, promoting equality and diversity for all students.
- Previous experience working as a HLTA, particularly within SEN, with a strong understanding of SEN and the barriers to learning that students may face.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
