Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ESOL lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will possess a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification and have a Level 4/5 subject specialist qualification in ESOL or a willingness to work towards as part of their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach ESOL to students in a variety of settings, including FE, international, commercial, Job Centre Plus or similar provision from outside agencies.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students and contribute to achieving targets in line with the national SFL/ESOL agenda.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Be willing to work flexibly, including evenings and independently away from the College campus.

Requirements

  • PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification.
  • Level 4/5 subject specialist qualification in ESOL or a willingness to work towards as part of their development.
  • Experience of teaching ESOL in a variety of settings.
  • Understanding of the national SFL/ESOL agenda and a commitment to achieving targets.
  • Proven organisational ability and ability to work as part of a team.
