Job Title: Class 1 Relief Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Relief Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Relief Driver, you will be responsible for driving a variety of vehicles, including tankers, non-ADR, reefers, chilled, and frozen trailers, as well as performing shunting tasks and dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a range of vehicles, including tankers, non-ADR, reefers, chilled, and frozen trailers.
  • Perform shunting tasks as needed.
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions.
  • Night outs may be required.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of fridge trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
