About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Relief Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our transport team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the Midlands, Birmingham, Telford, and Burntwood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of vehicles, including tankers, non-ADR, reefers, chilled, and frozen trailers, as well as LST and double-deck trailers.
  • Perform shunting tasks as required and interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Collaborate with the transport team to manage customer expectations and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work flexible hours, including night shifts, to meet the demands of the role.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
  • Be in possession of a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Have experience with fridge trailers, although full training will be provided.
  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be a confident, polite, and team-oriented individual with good geographical knowledge.
