We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Relief Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Relief Driver, you will be responsible for covering duties at our operating sites in the Midlands, Birmingham, Telford, and Burntwood.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a range of vehicles, including tankers, non-ADR, reefers, chilled, and frozen trailers, as well as LST and double-deck trailers.
  • Perform shunting tasks as needed.
  • Interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Communicate regularly with the transport team to ensure smooth operations and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work flexible hours, including night shifts, to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
  • Be in possession of a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Have experience with fridge trailers, although full training will be provided.
  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be a confident, polite, and team-oriented individual with good geographical knowledge.
  • Be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
