Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Leeds

We are looking for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire students of all abilities and help them unlock their artistic potential. As an Art Teacher with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to foster creativity and self-expression in students, while also developing your own skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5
  • Inspire students to explore a range of artistic techniques, mediums, and styles, including traditional and digital art forms
  • Create a supportive and encouraging classroom environment where students feel confident expressing themselves creatively
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them develop their skills
  • Organise and oversee art exhibitions, displays, and extra-curricular activities that showcase student work
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Art curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular projects
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in art and education to ensure an innovative and relevant curriculum
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related field
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of artistic skills and techniques
  • Enthusiasm for engaging students of all abilities and encouraging their personal growth through creativity
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level (desirable but not essential for newly qualified teachers)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
