Role Overview
As a key member of the fundraising team at Scottish Opera, you will play a vital role in recruiting new donors to support our mission. With a passion for donor acquisition and an ability to utilise data analysis to drive an effective donor recruitment strategy, you will develop a compelling call to action to generate positive responses.

About You
We are seeking a Fundraising Strategist with proven experience of making the ask and developing a data-driven strategy. You should have knowledge of individual giving fundraising techniques and fundraising best practices across the whole charity sector. In addition, you should be able to work closely with colleagues to develop and implement a donor recruitment strategy designed to grow our lower and mid giving levels. Your goal will be to achieve a financial target of £25,000 new income in year one and an additional £25,000 income in year two, along with an 80% retention rate for new supporters.

As a Fundraising Strategist, you will be responsible for ensuring that donors have an excellent experience supporting Scottish Opera from day one. You will be a highly motivated and experienced fundraiser with a track record of success in securing donations from individuals. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to engage donors. A salary of £32,703 per annum plus benefits reflects the importance of this role in driving fundraising growth.
