About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Relief Support Worker to join our team at one of our 24-hour supported living services in Carlisle. As a Relief Support Worker, you will provide positive support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs, enabling them to participate in community activities and develop their independence and self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Develop and implement personal support plans to address individual needs and goals
  • Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies, advocates, and family members
  • Support individuals to develop domestic, financial, and emotional management skills
  • Encourage participation in community activities and promote independence and self-esteem
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Ability to work flexible shifts on a relief basis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the principles of recovery and supported living care
