We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team at HMP Five Wells, a male resettlement prison with a capacity of 1750 inmates.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, providing expert care to patients with substance misuse issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake clinical nursing practice at an advanced level, using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients.
  • Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring the maintenance of clinical excellence.
  • Prescribe medication within your sphere of competence, as required.
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
  • Provide advice and support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
  • Conduct clinical reviews with patients and update care plans accordingly.
