About FTI Consulting

As a Research Consultant on the Origination team within Corporate Finance & Restructuring (CF&R), you will work closely with our EMEA CF&R practice to provide financial and market intelligence analysis. Your role will involve obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating financial statement data and market intelligence required for business development and origination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in researching and monitoring stressed/distressed companies, relevant business developments, and industry trends.
  • Analyze and evaluate financial performance of stressed/distressed companies.
  • Work with practitioners and business developers to implement processes and create work products that support business development opportunities.
Requirements

We're looking for individuals with a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related subject, or another degree subject with demonstrable interest in finance and financial markets. Relevant post-university work experience is preferred, particularly in consulting, banking, private markets, journalism, or credit research.

The ideal candidate should possess strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly mastery of Microsoft Excel. They should also have a comprehensive understanding of financial market and research databases, including SP's Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Factiva.

A strong aptitude in Capital IQ and Bloomberg is preferred, including formula writing in Excel for these research platforms. The ability to synthesize research findings and analysis into digestible-size emails and report packages is essential.
