Academic Mentor for SEN Department

REESON Education is seeking an Academic Mentor to join their team in a Mixed Secondary School and Sixth Form in South West London. The successful candidate will work in the SEN Department, supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. The role involves working alongside the SEN Lead to create plans for pupils' work programmes, assisting class teachers during lessons, and occasionally covering classes for short periods. The rates of pay for this role will be between £90 and £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
About the School
The school is an 'Outstanding' Secondary school and sixth form in South London, located near a Site of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI). It is a mixed, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4. Ofsted - "There is tremendously positive culture of learning and a very strong sense of community."
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have the right to work in the UK, a clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS, a UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent, and experience as an Academic Mentor in UK schools or working knowledge of supporting children/young people.
