SEND Specialist Tutor Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Specialist Tutor to deliver high-quality, 1:1 tuition to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the Bideford area.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced tutor to support children and young people with SEND who require tailored learning packages to bridge gaps in their education and boost attainment levels. As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will create, plan, and deliver bespoke lessons to meet the unique needs of each pupil, promoting engagement, motivation, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of each pupil
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, providing regular updates to Prospero Teaching
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting pupils with SEND
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in SEND education and adapt your approach as needed

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEND and challenging behaviors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative learning solutions
