To succeed in this role, you will need at least four years of experience in comprehensive financial planning. Familiarity with Intelligent Office is highly desirable.

This is a full-time position, and while flexibility to work from the office is preferred, flexible working hours are available.

As a Financial Planning Assistant, your key responsibilities will include providing top-notch support to Financial Planners, ensuring a fully compliant service and an excellent client experience.

Key Tasks:

  • Administrative Support: You will handle incoming calls and mail, maintain office systems, including data management and electronic filing, and arrange client appointments when necessary.
  • Account Handling/Reporting: You will prepare review meeting documentation, process client applications, conduct FE analysis, and perform Selectapension tasks where required, record keeping on IO, and research when necessary.
  • Business Development: You will assist with events, office mailings, and newsletters, make outbound calls to support mailings, help Financial Planners with key referrals, suggest improvements proactively, and attend client appreciation events.
  • Self-Development: You will complete any requested training, stay informed of system enhancements, keep up-to-date with compliance and regulatory requirements, train or mentor other FPAs, maintain your own CPD, and enhance your industry knowledge.

You will need:

  • Excellent administrative, analytical, and communication skills with a high standard of written English.
  • Good computer skills including Excel and Word.
  • A willingness to learn new responsibilities and stay informed about compliance and regulatory changes.
