About Us: The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the region, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking highly skilled and experienced anaesthesia consultants to join our team.

Salary: £72,588 - £112,621 per annum

Job Description:

We seek consultant anaesthetists to fill a vacancy supporting the anaesthetic team at the Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital Leeds. Successful applicants must hold accreditation in FRCA or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The post-holder will participate in undergraduate teaching programmes, collaborating with clinical colleagues to deliver high-quality education.
  • The appointee will contribute to postgraduate teaching, including the teaching programme for SpRs in anaesthesia in the Yorkshire Deanery.
  • The appointee will work closely with consultant colleagues to deliver a comprehensive anaesthetic service.
  • A high level of clinical expertise and proficiency in all aspects of anaesthesia is essential.

Key Requirements:

  • Accreditation in FRCA or equivalent, along with higher specialist training (or equivalent), is necessary for those in UK training programs.
  • Successful candidates must complete a recognised training program in Anaesthesia.
  • The appointee must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of admission for trainees in UK training programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • FRCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration and a valid license to practice at appointment time.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date and safe practice status.
