About the Role
This role involves assessing care needs, developing and implementing programmes of care, and providing specialist nursing advice to patients with complex endocrine conditions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teaching skills, as well as experience in leadership and management. They will be responsible for liaising with healthcare professionals, families, and other agencies to ensure effective care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- To assess the care needs of patients with endocrine disorders and develop individualised plans of care
- To provide specialist nursing advice and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- To contribute to the development of the specialty service, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Person Specification
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced children's nurse who possesses the following qualities:
- Registration as a children's nurse with the NMC
- A recognised teaching or assessing qualification
- Leadership and management experience
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, we would welcome applications from candidates with:
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Endocrine module certification
- Audit and standard setting experience
Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum
