Job Summary

Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse - Medicine and Emergency Care

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team in Medicine and Emergency Care. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the effective functioning of our clinical ward.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Assisting the Senior Sister/Manager in managing the ward and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced staff to develop their skills and confidence
  • Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to promote patient-centered care and improve patient outcomes
  • Participating in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure best practice

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant nursing qualification (RN1/RN2/RN12 or RN Child Registered Nurse) and current registration with the NMC
  • Experience in a senior nursing role, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues, including evidence-based practice and resource management
