Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join our team at Milner Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading financial elements, including project management, invoicing, and debt chasing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial summaries for the Managing Director on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with the implementation of the RSK SHEQ management system, including encouraging others to report incidents and producing an annual rota for site inspections.
  • Provide administrative support to the project teams, including proofreading reports and tenders.
  • Update the business unit competency matrix annually.
  • Support with daily administration tasks, including vehicle, PPE, and equipment management.
  • Liaise with other departments and business units as required.
  • Promote Health, Safety, and Wellbeing within the organization.
  • Arrange and attend local team meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
  • Collate data from project managers and process it to create invoices and purchase requests.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in business management or administration.
  • Other professional or technical candidates with a business management-orientated background will also be considered.
  • Preferred – construction or engineering industry experience.

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of financial skills for assisting project managers with budgeting responsibilities.
  • Competence in the use of computer software packages required for project work (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams).
  • Ability to set up and provide administration support for meetings.
  • Good organisational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to ask for support from others.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence and effectiveness when communicating with clients, subcontractors, RSK Finance team, and project managers.
